One of Dr. Raber's primary interests is helping young students overcome visual deficits to become comfortable readers.
Dr. Raber graduated with honors from Indiana University School of Optometry and completed a hospital-based optometric residency at the Huntington VA Medical Center in Huntington, WV. Dr. Raber spent 6 years working in Haiti as a medical missionary with the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists. He has pursued post-doctoral training in learning-related vision disorders and his practice emphasizes vision care for children with special needs and patients with acquired brain injuries. Dr. Raber is married and has four children. His wife, Myriam, is a dentist and has her practice (www.RaberDental.com) in the same professional building in Kidron.

Staying current with new knowledge in the eye care field is a high priority for us. Each year we easily exceed our required hours of continuing education in order to bring to our patients the benefits of the latest research in eye care.
Dr. Raber is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, indicating his commitment to advanced care in binocular vision, perception and pediatric optometric care. He also maintains an active membership with the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association, and the American Optometric Association’s InfantSee program, Vision Rehabilitation and Sports Vision Sections.
