Dr. Raber grew up in Sugarcreek, Ohio, and pursued a biology degree from Goshen College and a master’s degree in public health from Ohio State University. He graduated with honors from Indiana University School of Optometry in 1994 and then completed a residency at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia. Dr. Raber maintains an active interest in advanced vision concerns. He has completed a fellowship with the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, and also the American Academy of Optometry with a special interest in binocular vision, perception and pediatrics. Dr. Raber resides in Kidron with his wife, Myriam and enjoys family time with his four children.


Dr. Schrock is a native of Hartville, Ohio. She graduated from Central Christian School in Kidron, and earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Goshen College in Indiana. She then attended Ohio State University College of Optometry, where she received her doctorate in optometry in 1993, graduating with honors. She volunteers at local schools, doing vision screenings along with educational presentations. She takes special interest in visual concerns that interfere with reading and learning. She enjoys music and performs in piano and choir concerts. Dr. Schrock resides in Kidron with her husband, Von, and their four children.


Shannon is our full-time vision therapist and manages all aspects of our vision therapy center. With a college degree in mathematics and experience as a substitute teacher she brings many strengths to the testing and training activities. Shannon has received training in vision therapy in places stretching from North Carolina to California, and she is highly qualified for working with children with vision information processing (perceptual) problems. Patients of all ages find that she is warm and easy to work with. She is a lifelong resident of Wayne County and is involved with a number of community activities.
